  1. Final paycheck data

    Added Washington, Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Montana, Vermont and Oregon — each checked against its statute text or its state labor agency's own guidance. Overtime guides added for Oregon, Washington, the District of Columbia, Montana and Vermont.

  2. Overtime data

    Initial overtime dataset: 50 states and DC verified against the US DOL Wage and Hour Division State Minimum Wage Laws table (updated 1 July 2026). Nevada cross-checked against the Labor Commissioner's daily overtime bulletin (NRS 608.018); California against Labor Code 510.

  3. Final paycheck data

    Initial final paycheck dataset: California, Texas, New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, Florida and Georgia, each traced to its own statute or state labor agency. Michigan withheld: its statute has two conflicting readings.
