Privacy: what we see, and what we don't.

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The hours you enter, your pay rate, your dates, your bonus, your unused PTO — none of it is transmitted anywhere. There is no server to send it to: the site is a set of static files, with no database and no accounts.

So that your sheet is still there when you come back, what you type is saved in your own browser's local storage, under keys beginning hc. That storage belongs to your browser on your device. We cannot read it, and it is not shared between devices. The Clear button on the time card wipes it, and clearing site data for this domain removes it entirely.

Download CSV and Print timesheet also run locally. The file is generated in your browser and saved by you; no copy reaches us.

We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views, so we can see which pages actually help people and which ones are not worth maintaining. Google receives the usual web analytics data: the page you viewed, the page that sent you here, rough location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. Google sets cookies (names beginning _ga) to recognise a returning browser.

We also record five events, so we can tell a page that was read from a tool that was used:

• calc_run — a calculator was actually used on the page
• csv_export and print — a timesheet was exported or printed
• outbound_click — a link to a state labor department or statute was followed
• error_reported — the report form was submitted

Those events carry the name of the calculator and nothing else. The state you select, the pay period you choose and every number you type are deliberately excluded, so that what you enter cannot reach Google even indirectly.

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs of requests, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. That is ordinary web hosting, not something we query or analyse.

The report an error form has no server behind it. It opens your own mail app with a message already written, and nothing is sent until you press send in that app. If you do send it, we receive what you wrote, the page you were reporting, and your email address if you chose to include one — the same as any email.

We use it to check the rule and correct the page, and we reply only if you asked for one. Corrections are recorded on the changelog, never with your name or details.

• Sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
• Ask you to create an account, or ask for a name, address, employer or bank details.
• Run advertising trackers. There are no ads on the site today.
• Track you across other websites, or build a profile of you.

You can block analytics in your browser settings, with any content blocker, or with Google's own opt-out browser add-on. The calculators work exactly the same either way — none of them depend on analytics, and nothing on this site is withheld if you block it.

If you are in the EU, the UK, California or anywhere with similar law, you have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. In practice we hold almost nothing that could identify you: unless you have emailed us, everything we have is aggregated analytics that is not tied to a name.

This site is meant for people checking their own pay, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

If what we collect changes — for example if advertising is ever added — this page changes with it, and the change is dated on the changelog like every other change to the site.
