It depends on your pay schedule, not on the day you left. Two people who leave on the same day can have deadlines a week or more apart.
Tennessee's wage law reaches private employers with five or more employees; below that the state does not investigate. The state also will not take claims under $100, claims from 1099 contractors or public employees, or claims about overtime, tips, minimum wage or salary — those go to the US Department of Labor or to General Sessions Court. Deductions from a final check need your prior signed written agreement.
What “next regular payday” means
“Next regular payday” means the next date your employer would normally have paid you had you stayed. It is not a fixed number of days: paid weekly, it is at most a week away; paid monthly, it can be a month.

Unused PTO — is it owed?
